My mom was a travel agent when I was growing up…. Like the old fashioned kind in an office with two walls full of brochures. It was heaven for a little kid! I remember taking stacks of flyers to “my desk” at the back of the office and perusing the pictures for hours. In June of 2021, I finally got to visit one of these gorgeous places with my hubby! We went to Sandals Montego Bay and stayed there for 4 nights in a beachfront walkout suite. It was fancy! Because of the room level we booked, we also got our own personal butler. I have to be honest, it was nice having someone assigned to help you but it also sort of gave me anxiety. I felt so weird asking him to do things for me but then I also felt bad for not letting him do his job. The next time we go, I don’t think we will get a butler even though he was very friendly and very accommodating.

My favorite part of this experience was the proximity to the beach and ocean. You literally walked out of your room and onto the sand. They had tons of beach chairs and cabanas and tiki huts. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The food and drinks at the resort were delicious and the nightly entertainment was fun. We enjoyed trying new dining locations each day and seeing what type of show they would be performing at night.
